  • Wednesday - 1:00pm Cross Country at Faulkton, all day Land/Range Judging in Wessington
  • Thursday - 4:30 pm Volleyball vs JVC at home

Warbird Cross Country Shirts:

Visit the link below to place an order for a team shirt. There are two options: A long-sleeve and hoodie.

The Cross Country Fund will offset some of the cost to runners:
• Long sleeves will cost you $15
• Hoodies will cost you $25
Runners: Make sure you type your last name to go on the back of your shirt.

If you are not a runner, the costs are as follows:

• Long sleeves will cost you $20
• Hoodies will cost you $30

Checks should be made out to Wolsey-Wessington School, and must be delivered to Coach A. by Tuesday, Sept. 12th.

This year, in order to be good stewards of our resources, the district will not be sending large packets of back to school information to your homes.  We are publishing all documents online in order to conserve resources. Below you will find links to forms to complete, notifications to read, and informative documents.  If you would like a hard (paper) copy of any of the notifications, forms or documents you may pick them up at the back-to-school night, anytime in the school office, or request the documents to be mailed to you.

Special Board Meeting August 14, 2017

Board Chair Ted Haeder has called for a special board meeting, Monday, August 14 at 7:00 am.  This meeting will be to hear the report from the buildings and grounds committee and act on the bids opened at the July 17, 2017 board meeting.

Physicals and Concussion Testing

All student-athletes entering grades 7th-12th must have a current physical packet on file before the first day of practice. Many students returned the packet in the spring. For those that did not, a new packet can be found on the school website.

Student-athletes entering grades 7th, 9th, 11th, and new student-athletes—please contact Mrs. Boomsma-Kelsey to sign up for IMPACT concussion testing to be held on July 24, 25, and 26 from 8:30-9:15 a.m. and 9:15-10:00 a.m. You can sign up by sending an email to or by calling the school.

Student-athletes entering grades 7th, 9th, 11th, and new student-athletes-a current physical must be on file at the school before your first day of practice. Free physicals are offered at the following locations:

Horizon Healthcare-call to schedule an appointment
Huron Clinic-July 19th from 3:30-6:30 p.m.
Tschetter & Hohm Clinic-July 24th from 5:30-6:30 p.m.

Please remember that a pre-participation form for 7th graders or an interim participation form for older students must be taken to the appointment.
