The Wolsey-Wessington School District has been fortunate to welcome Ioli Papadaki-Rovola from Greece this year! To express her gratitude and share her love for animals, Ioli is organizing a donation drive to support the Beadle County Humane Society. In addition to the donation drive, the school is also hosting a COIN WAR between all of the classes 04/15/2026-04/22/2026, with all proceeds going toward the cause! The winning class will be treated to donuts as a special reward for their generosity.

This is Mr. Donovan. I am planning on doing t-ball and coach pitch this summer. It would be the month of June, Mondays and Wednesday nights. We will have practices and then plan on playing games as well with other towns. I would like to see the interest first to make sure we will have enough to field a team. T-ball will be open to 4-5 year olds. Coach pitch will be 6-7 year olds. Please email me at riley.donovan@k12.sd.us if you are interested.

Please email a resume and application to riley.donovan@k12.sd.us.
At the last school board meeting, we talked about the recent drop in participation in boys sports, especially football and basketball, and how we can best support our students moving forward. As part of those conversations, we have also spoken with a few neighboring schools about the possibility of a cooperative football program due to low participation numbers.
These discussions are only part of looking at all of our options and doing what’s best for our kids. We have enough students to field a team, but if injuries or other things occur, it could leave us in a tough spot.
We truly appreciate the support of our families and community, and we promise to continue sharing updates as we work through this together. Our goal is to keep providing our students with great opportunities with all activities.

Over the past 20 years, our Warbird logo has been a big part of who we are. It’s something many of us recognize instantly and feel connected to.
Lately, we’ve been exploring what it might look like to clean up and modernize the logo while still keeping the same overall concept and identity that people know and love. This is not a final decision and nothing is changing right now, we’re simply looking for feedback.
We truly value the voice of our community, so we want to hear from you. Here is a short survey:
